Kelly’s choice to focus on an older sleuth carrying no emotional baggage from past romantic relationships makes for a refreshing switch-up from the usual cozy amateur detective, and the inclusion of some snippets written from Misty’s totes adorbs feline Yeti’s point of view adds to the book’s wry sense of humor.
