Judy: The Unforgettable Story of a Dog Who Went to War and Became a True Hero

Well-known author and historian Lewis (The Dog Who Could Fly; Apache Dawn) recounts the story of the one dog, Judy of Sussex, who had the dubious honor of being made an official prisoner of war of the Japanese during World War II. Lewis was finishing War Dog (2013) when he heard about Judy, a beautiful liver-and-white English pointer, who served the British during the war and was beloved by all who encountered her. While intrigued, the author found it extremely difficult to track down accurate information (not many survivors still exist) about this remarkable canine.
