Maggie Griffin is content with her life in Boston. She teaches at a private day school, and she and her actor boyfriend Evan seem fully committed. Suddenly, Maggie finds being in Mystic more appealing than Boston.
VERDICT McKinnon's second novel (after The Lake Season) features characters who must look past short-term happiness to build a future. New adults and women's fiction fans will find this book appealing. It's a novel for twentysomethings facing major decisions including love, marriage, first apartments, jobs, houses, and the decision whether or not to have children.
