Playing Flirty

Rose has a spreadsheet full of life goals that she’s attempting to achieve, but things are not currently going to plan. Her love life with her workaholic long-term boyfriend has become lackluster at best, and she’s miserable at her job, where she’s being sexually harassed by her boss. Her escape and highlight of the week is game night with her friends. Her best friend’s roommate, handsome game designer William, joins sometimes and has become Rose’s game-playing nemesis. When Rose hears about a board game contest that could lead to her own game being produced, she turns to William for help to refine the concept she’s been working on for years. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Rose finds herself in a secret flirtation with William, but neither of them is sure if this is real or just another game they’re playing. Some fraught family moments, a few misunderstandings, and the workplace harassment provide serious moments amid the flirtatious romance and Lord of the Rings references.
