Sasha Goldberg graduated from college with a journalism degree but no job. She's still with her college boyfriend, who works long hours at his financial firm and doesn't pay much attention to her. When Sasha lands a job as a matchmaker for an exclusive online dating site, she finds out things about men she never wanted to know—such as her boyfriend is listed on another dating site. She rebounds into the off-limit arms of one of her client's rejects and then is fired and dumped in one day. Jennifer O'Donnell captures the twentysomething age with enthusiasm and naïveté but doesn't stay in voice as well with her male characters. However, this light, sexy romance is worth a listen for those who enjoy the New York City setting and after-college coming of age.
VERDICT Recommended for large public libraries and for leisure collections in university libraries. ["With an ending twist that will hit readers like a splash of vodka and tonic in the face of their blind date, this novel is one to pack in your beach bag": LJ 6/1/18 review of the Touchstone hc.]
