Among the project management–based parenting practices Kinney proposes are encouraging ownership, creating a family plan, documenting action issues, maximizing creativity, and building agility. Chapters include sample activities and exercises. The final pages include tools and templates to be used as resources.
VERDICT Kinney’s application of project management for parenting is a unique perspective in child-rearing literature and may prove quite helpful to the many overwhelmed parents juggling career and family obligations.
