The second book examines ways that child services can be improved, such as the chapter "Addressing Child Trauma Within the Child Welfare System." The last two sections consider policy initiatives and opportunities. Each chapter includes a list of references for further research. This wide-ranging work also tackles childhood sexual abuse, the effects of violence on young people's development, and the impact of war.
