Their school chum (and Catherine’s former lover) Rafe unexpectedly reappears and reignites his relationship with Catherine, all while hiding his identity as an undercover agent investigating financial intelligence and global terrorism for the U.S. Treasury. The three MBAs each look the other way as they climb their respective ladders of success: Catherine by laundering money for a Detroit mobster, Majid by manipulating stock values for possible global terrorists, Rafe by ignoring the bedfellows he has made in his pursuit of the greater good.
