All That We Never Were

Nineteen-year-old Leah and her 29-year-old brother Oliver recently lost their parents in a car accident, and Leah has not been the same since. She has retreated from everyone, while Oliver does everything he can to provide the best life for his sister. When a job opportunity allows him to save money for Leah’s future, he asks his best friend Axel if Leah can stay with him while Oliver is gone several weeks each month for his new job. While staying with Axel, Leah starts working through her grief, and he helps her rediscover who she once was. Leah has been in love with Axel her entire life, and she wants him to see her as someone other than his best friend’s sister. Axel eventually acknowledges his feelings for her, but things are tricky with Oliver. When Oliver finds out that something has been going on between the couple, he presents Axel with an impossible choice that creates a cliffhanger ending.
