However, all of Wendell and Emily’s plans are put on hold, as suddenly the land feels as though it is dying, and they discover that Wendell’s stepmother has cursed the kingdom. Fae are dying as well as the lands, and only Wendell’s death can heal it. Emily is determined to find another way and turns to her strength—research.
