Home for a Cowboy Christmas

A woman finds safety with a cowboy at Christmas in Grant’s (“Sons of Texas” series) surprisingly gentle romantic suspense. The only safe place for witness Emmy Garrett to hide after nearly being killed by a mafia hitman is at the ranch of ex–Homeland Security and FBI agent Dwight Reynolds. Waiting until the New Year to testify against her former boss, Emmy battles anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder but is comforted by Dwight’s kindness and his lovable dog, Sam. As Christmas approaches, Emmy and Dwight find themselves falling hard for each other as they enjoy holiday traditions like sleigh rides and decorating. But as her would-be assassin closes in, Emmy isn’t sure she’ll even live long enough to testify, let alone start a relationship with Dwight. The dreamy descriptions of Montana vistas, as well as Emmy and Dwight’s hesitant but sweet budding romance, make for an enjoyable holiday escape.
