Told in the style of an international thriller and featuring a huge cast of well-developed characters, the novel is a deep dive into how the tendrils of the past can reach out and force humanity to heed a warning. Fans of Olde Heuvelt’s Hex will be happy to see Grim back after a long absence, but this time the threat is much broader in scope.
