Rogue Community College

When Isaac Frost attempts to rescue an elf who apparently doesn’t want to be rescued, he stumbles into an operation that benefits his own covert plans. He teams up with the elves Vran and Argent, who ship him off to Rogue Community College, a school for misfit magic-users like himself. The school hopes to train future Guardians, but as a servant of the Undertaker, Isaac has already endured his own sort of education—an upbringing in survival. His mission now is to infiltrate this living, labyrinthine school and somehow destroy it. This urban fantasy thriller is set in the same world as Slayton’s (White Trash Warlock) “Adam Binder” series, with vague references and crossover characters. While some might tag this new series as dark academia, it’s more a bittersweet but uplifting tale about a conflicted outcast who discovers his found family. Battered and cynical, Isaac starts to lose himself in his own multilayered machinations, but he’s easy to root for as he scrambles for love, kindness, and a better life.
