Seven Secrets, Vol. 1

For thousands of years, a secret society called the Order of the Seven has protected seven secrets that are powerful enough to change—or even destroy—the world. Each secret is kept by a pair of highly skilled warriors designated Keeper and Holder; when one pair’s failure to abide by the Order’s rules (which prohibit developing emotional ties) results in a child, they’re granted barely enough time to name him Caspar before he’s taken away and delivered to a facility where he’ll be trained to serve the Order. Years later, just as Caspar begins to discover the truth about his parents, a group called the Seekers launch an all-out attack against the Order, forcing them to flee to an ancient sanctuary in Switzerland. As the Order regroups and prepares for war, Caspar can’t help but wonder about the value of keeping a secret at the expense of his friends’ and loved ones’ lives.
