The Watcher Girl

Grace McMullen gets paid to erase damaging online content--if only she could erase her past that easily. Given up for adoption and then betrayed by her adoptive parents, she’s struggled with the idea of family. When she meets Sutton in college, Grace falls deeply in love with him, but ultimately she leaves to protect him, feeling like she will only bring him ruin. Since then, she’s remained estranged from her family and moved regularly to avoid any close relationships. Then she sees on social media that Sutton has moved to her hometown with his wife Campbell, who looks eerily similar to Grace, and he named their daughter after her. Grace thought Sutton’s life would be better without her, but now she’s worried that he hasn’t let her go. So Grace finally returns home and begins to scope out Sutton’s life, accidentally befriending Campbell in the process, but all is definitely not well with Sutton and Campbell. Meanwhile, someone has been obsessively watching Grace, which she’ll realize too late.
